     in this research, the variations trend of physical parameters of the chabahar bay waters was investigated during 8 periods from january 2007 to the end of june 2007. the physical parameters were measured from the sea surface to the sea bed using a ctd instrument. these parameters are: the sea water temperature, salinity and density. the investigations show that, the water temperature in this area increases by increasing the air temperature. moreover, increasing the water temperature yields the increasing of the water salinity, and decreasing of water density. during winter and spring, the water temperature inside the bay is colder and warmer than the waters outside the bay. in winter, the water column is one layer and the variation of physical parameters of the water in vertical direction is very low. after spring, increasing the air temperature which yields the increasing of the water temperature causes the formation of a stratified media and thermocline, haloline and picnocline layers inside the bay. the thicknesses of these layers are low at the beginning of spring and their thicknesses increase at the end of june. the variations of water density are more affected by the temperature of the bay water than its salinity. the eighth period of measurement was carried out just one week after the gonu tropical storm event. the recorded data show a considerable decreasing of water salinity in that period which was due to the increasing of raining and the following inflow inside the bay.
