     fixed jacket type offshore platforms is the most common type of offshore oil platforms. kayvani and barzegar introduced a finite element method using inelastic conventional beam column elements for nonlinear response analysis of steel jackets. asgarian et al. used fiber elements for nonlinear dynamic analysis of jacket type offshore platforms. kimiaei et al. used bnwf model for the modeling of pile soil interaction and finite element method for the modeling of jacket members in nonlinear range of deformation. in general, seismic response analysis of jacket type offshore platforms (comprising both jacket and piles behavior) is a very complex computation, particularly when nonlinear behavior also is taken into account. studying response of a complex structural system such as jacket type offshore platforms subjected to strong ground motions leads to a better understanding of dynamic behavior of this type of structures. in this paper, bnwf and fe approached are used for under seabed (pile-soil interaction) and above seabed (pile-structure interaction) modeling respectively.
