     the abundance of structures needing rehabilitation along with difficulties in retrofitting methods at hand has got engineers to be in research of easier rehabilitation contrivances. frp composites have widely been used lately for covering weaknesses of rc buildings. the light weight and easy performance of frp's compared to other methods are major reasons of their spreading application. inspections have revealed that pushover analysis does not result in a proper assessment of the rotation of plastic hinges for high-rise buildings. the structure investigated in this study consists of eight stories for which time history analysis has been used. three accelerograms matching the rules in the iranian 2800 standard of buildings' design against earthquake have been chosen and the structure is retrofitted for the critical state. the performance level is assumed to be io (immediate occupancy) and the rehabilitation aim is to transfer the plastic hinges to be formed firstly in the beams.
