     in recent years there have been many attentions to free zones and especially the establishment of industrial activity in the persian gulf. such activities could bring irreparable damage to the reproductive areas and biological diversity. among iranian islands in persian gulf, qeshm island due to its geographical location, social and commercial properties, economic activities of citizens and residents, the extent of population and also its proximity to the important port of abbas, ports of khemir and kong and lengeh, became a zone or free port to achieve the following objectives:

    -       receive goods from abroad and its distribution between the ports and islands of the persian gulf and arabs.

    -       entry of raw and semi-manufactured materials and changing to final goods or manufacturing materials for export or domestic use or consumption in the region.
