     this experiment was conducted to evaluate the effect of different levels of silybum marianum seed powder on blood parameters of broiler chickens. in this study, 240 one day old ross 308 broilers feeding with experimental diet for 42 days. reaserch was performed in the form of completely randomize design with 20 experimental unit including 5 treatments, 4 replicates and 12 broilers in each replicate. the treatments consist of the control diet, and diets containing 0.5, 1,1.5 and 2 % of silybum marianum seed powder. the result of this experiment showed that the use of different levels of silybum silybum maranum seed powder had significant effect on blood parameters (p<0.05). so that; the control treatment had the highest blood cholesterol and the treatment containing 1.5 % of silybum marianum seed powder had the lowest cholesterol. also the control treatment made the highest triglyceride and the treatment containing 0.5, 1.5 and 2 % of silybum marianum seed powder made the lowest triglyceride. the birds fed treatment of 1.5 and 2 % of silybum marianum seed powder had the highest hdl and control treatment had the lowest hdl. use of different levels of silybum maranum seed powder had not significant effect on the other blood parameters (p>0.05).
