the effective designing of the irrigations system for the urban landscape has very important role in water conservation. in this research by using watergems a network is optimized with the aim of providing appropriate pressure and minimizing the cost. this multi-objective problem is solved by using genetic algorithms (ga) and then an appropriate pareto curve is fitted on the set of obtained solutions. different methods of game theory have been used to choose the best solution.then, the primary designed network is put into epanet software and the network is being optimized by the simulated annealing algorithm (sa) again. comparing the obtained results of performing these two algorithms on the primary designed network shows 16 percent reduction in the operational costs of the designed network through ga in comparison with sa. moreover, the time required for performing ga is much less than ga and the network offered by ga has more functionality. the designed network shows good flexibility of the designed network against the changes in demand.
