study the psychological design criteria in residential complexes structure (case study: shahrak ekbatan)

in many cases, it seems less credit is given to the psychological studies and the effects and influence of housing structure and human psychology to each other in housing architecture area. in some cases, these studies are even eliminated from the process of architecture design. as providing man’s comfort and peace is the ultimate goal in housing design, the present project studies the criteria of psychological architecture design of residential complexes and the degree of effectiveness of suitable texture design by considering those criteria in meeting the individual (inner) and social needs in housing. lowering the gap between architecture texture and psychological principles through knowing those principles and method of the effects of these factors in the housing materialization, employing effective architectural approaches in planning and designing of residential complexes could be named as one of the main goals of this research. to achieve this goal, first a basic definition has been recognized and elaborated on physical, cultural and social aspects, effective in the formation of houses and habitat complexes as well as some aspects of life style which affects the shape of the house. in continuation, each one of the concepts related to the environmental psychology of housing, such as personal legitimate space, social relations, privacy, flexibility, territory, safety and attachment have been analyzed and studied in summary in form of texts, tables and diagrams. in the meantime, attributes have been made to each textural examples in various cases suitable to the physical aspect of that concept in housing architecture, followed by studying the efficiency of architectural solutions which have been presented in order to provide a suitable ground for an overall responds to psychological needs of man in shahrak ekbatan, as a case study with the visualized texture.
