    emotion based language instruction and teaching speaking and listening skills

    cognitive processes in human beings such as attention, learning, and perception are strongly influenced by emotions. its strong effect on attention, particularly modulating the selectivity of attention is intimately linked to learning processes inasmuch as attentional capacities are more centralized on related content. to take emotions more into consideration, the current study tried to empirically examine the influence of emotion based language instruction (ebli) in fostering teaching oral skills to efl learners. ielts test was utilized to measure the progress of both control and experimental group at the beginning of the project and at the end. the content of the material chosen to be taught for experimental group was selectively written based on the metric of emotioncy. the difference in scores of ielts tests were statistically calculated to observe the effect of ebli. the results revealed a significant change in oral skills in experimental group. the results of the current investigation can increase the knowledge on emotion based instruction.
