Mathematical and Computer Modeling provides a medium of exchange for the diverse disciplines utilizing mathematical or computer modeling as either a theoretical or working tool. Equal attention is given to the mechanics, methodology and theory of modeling with an attempt to advocate either mathematical or computer modeling, or a combination of the two, in an integrative form. While the unifying aspect of the journal is its adherence to quantitative models, it seeks diversity by being concerned with a variety of disciplines, including engineering, biological, medical, environmental, social, behavioral and other sciences .Both theoretical and applied works which employ mathematical or computer modeling will be considered for publication. Papers dealing with experiments shall be considered when the results are presented as an integral part of the modeling process.
حوزه های تحت پوشش : engineering, biological, medical, environmental, social
The paper studies the finite-time blow-up theory for a class of nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations. The conditions for the occurrence of finite-time blow-up for nonlinear Volterra integro-differential equations are provided. Moreover, the finite-time blow-up theory for nonlinear partial Volterra integro-differential equations with general kernels is also established using the ...

We consider the parabolic differential equation in a Banach space E with a strongly positive operator A and with an arbitrary positive parameter ε. We establish the well-posedness in difference analogue of Hölder space of the high order uniform difference scheme for . Moreover, in applications, the convergence estimates for the solutions of uni...
A dynamic model is proposed for a tangent cushioning packaging system based on critical components. Conditions for resonance are obtained by applying He’s variational iteration method, which should be avoided in the cushioning packaging design. The results help us to understand the dropping damage mechanism of packaged products based on critical components.
In the present paper, the free vibration characteristics of nanobeams embedded in an elastic medium are investigated. Inclusion of size effects is considered in the analysis by incorporating Eringen’s nonlocal elasticity continuum into the classical Euler–Bernoulli beam theory. To include the surrounding elastic medium, the Pasternak elastic foundation model is utilized, includin...
In this paper, a simplified spring-dashpot model is proposed to represent the complicated nonlinear response of some viscoelastic materials. Recently, the viscoelastic modeling has been adopted by many researchers to characterize some parts of the human body in bioengineering and to simulate many material properties in mechanical engineering, electronic engineering and construction engineeri...
We introduce and investigate the notions of mixed θ(μ,ν1ν2)-continuous functions and mixed faintly(μ,ν1ν2)-continuous functions between a generalized topology μ and two generalized topologies ν1,ν2. We investigate relationships between such two continuities and another mixed continuity on generalized topological spaces.
This paper discusses the use of recently developed techniques and software in the numerical propagation of uncertainties in initial coordinates and/or parameters for initial value problems. We present an approach based on several validated numerical integration techniques but focusing on the propagation of boxes. The procedure uses a multivariable high order Taylor series development of the ...
Some spectral problems for differential operators are naturally posed on the whole real line, often leading to eigenvalues plus continuous spectrum. Then the numerical approximation typically involves three processes: (a) reduction to a finite interval; (b) discretization; (c) application of a numerical eigenvalue solver such as the QR-algorithm. Reduction to a finite interval and discretiz...
The hub location problem appears in a variety of applications including airline systems, cargo delivery systems, and telecommunication network design. Hub location problems deal with finding the location of hub facilities and the allocation of demand nodes to these located hub facilities. We consider a hub-and-spoke network problem with crowdedness or congestion in the system. The transporta...
Let (un) be a sequence of real numbers and L be an additive summability method with some property. We show that if slow decrease of (un) or one-sided boundedness of the classical control modulo of the oscillatory behavior of (un) is a Tauberian condition for a general summability method L, then one-sided boundedness by a sequence with certain cond...
