Mesoporous cobalt-doped ZnS and ZnO nanoplates were fabricated by calcination of a Zn0.95Co0.05S(en)0.5complex (en = ethylenediamine), which was hydrothermally synthesized using ethylenediamine as a single solvent and chelating agent.
