     thermal cracking of hydrocarbons is the commercial method for producing olefins mainlyethylene. the heart of an olefin unit is the thermal cracking reactor that is located inside the olefin furnace. the olefin research group of tarbiat modares university has developed softwares for modeling and simulation of arak, bandar imam and abadan olefin furnaces. in this paper, the flowsheeting of arak petrochemical complex olefin furnace is studied and the solution procedure is discussed.
