     in this article, a class of discontinuous galerkin method(dg) for solving kdv equation containing the third derivative term in one space dimention, which is called direct discontinuous galerkin (ddg) method has been mainly discussed. numerical examples are shown to illustrate the accuracy and capability of the method in comparison with local discontinuous galerkin method.
