    background: all countries have faced corona pandemy as a health challenge. corona virus is a single-stranded rna virus. in addition to the clinical symptoms, laboratory diagnosis can greatly help diagnose the disease. liver injury and abnormal liver function tests (lfts) have been reported in many studies but characterization and comparison of liver tests abnormalities in women's is incomplete.

    to optimize care for covid-19 patients, laboratory and therapeutic studies should include sex-specific design and analyses. this study aims to analyze aspartate aminoteransferase (ast), alanine aminoteransferase (alt), and alkaline phosphatase (alp) in women covid19 patients and comprise with men's group. method:16 women patients with positive who admitted to the ajabshir emam hospital and 16 corona virus pcr positive hospitalized men were enrolled.

    the laboratory tests information on aspartate aminoteransferase (ast), alanine aminoteransferase (alt), and alkaline phosphatase (alp) were collected and recorded on excel. spss software was used for analyzing data's and p<0.05 was regarded as the level of significance. blood culture positive cases and patients with other liver abnormality were excluded.
