estimation and evaluation the capacity of suburban roads to respond to transportation demands while earthquake (case study: tehran city)

studies are conducted after earthquakes to check the capacity of roads and select paths in the present roads network to control disaster while disaster management steps in order to determine and reinforce more critical roads network optimally. one level of planning is recognition the present condition and making decision relying on it. in this research, the suburban roads capacity is studied as a criterion for evaluation and planning. therefore, one method to evaluate suburban roads capacity is offered while disaster on whose results, the roads conditions are evaluated after earthquake. since the effective factors on road capacity while earthquake is a lot and some of them are in contrary on the other hand, the result won’t be obtained without using a scientific model. thus, each criterion weight must be indicated in comparison to the other criterions to evaluate roads capacity that using multivariate analysis model satisfied this need. finally, the impression of the selected network by earthquake will be studied by sensitivity analysis if the weights of selected criterions change. this analysis helps to study for example if road sides are considerably protected by investment and has no structures around, how the impression of other roads would change. this analysis is an efficient and strong tool for the managers who want to utilize their facilities and capitals the best.
