     on-chip point and line source photon emitters realized in 0.35 μm standard cmos silicon technology are introduced in this paper. the dedicated photon emitters are designed and implemented for the surface plasmon polariton (spp) generation on standard integrated circuits (ic). the photon emission occurs by hot carrier relaxation as the main physical process. the photon emitters realized with standard silicon cmos technology are free from complex semiconductor materials and metals.
