    does mindfulness improve depression in women? a review of neuropsychological changes

    objectives: the aim of this study was to investigate the neuropsychological changes of depressed women during mindfulness. one of the most common disorders in women is depression and is one of the most common mindfulness treatments. neuropsychological changes are observed during depression and mindfulness is effective in treating the disease through neuropsychological changes. methods: the present study is a review of previous studies in the field of mindfulness neuropsychology during the last 15 years and its relationship with depression in women by the method of narrative review studies.

    a literary study of the database was conducted by google scholar, pubmed and articles published in the field. results: the results showed changes in different areas of the brain in depression in women and neuropsychological changes in regulating emotion and attention in areas such as the frontal cortex, anterior cingulate cortex, amygdala و basal ganglia, and insula in depressed patients. conclusion: mindfulness-related interventions due to neuropsychological changes offer a promising solution in depressed female patients.
